Official Trade, Manufacturing & Logistics Guidelines

Manufacturing, Purity & Wastage

1. What is "Melting" (Purity), and what are your standards?
"Melting" refers to the exact percentage of pure gold present in the jewellery alloy. Our standard manufacturing purities are:
  • 22K: 91.6% Pure Gold
  • 20K: 83.3% Pure Gold
  • 18K: 75.0% Pure Gold
  • 14K: 58.3% Pure Gold
  • 9K: 37.5% Pure Gold
Note on Manufacturing: High-purity items (18K to 22K) can be expertly handcrafted by our karigars. Due to the hardness of the metal, 9K and 14K items are manufactured strictly via our casting units to ensure a premium finish.
2. What specific items do you manufacture?
We are a specialized B2B manufacturer. Our production lines include: Casting (Machine-made) Items, Antique Jewellery, CNC Bangles, Kadas, Traditional Necklaces, Rani Haars, Chains, Rings, Bracelets, Pendants, and Earrings. We also manufacture regional specialties like Champasaralu, Matils, Zapka, and Maantika.
3. How is Wastage calculated?
  • For 9K and 14K Casting: Wastage is standard at Melting + 8% (This accounts for the heavy refining loss of base metals during the casting process).
  • For 18K to 22K Handmade/CNC: Wastage varies based on design complexity, karigar labor, and order volume. Please share your specific design requirements on WhatsApp for an exact wholesale quotation.
4. Do you provide BIS HUID Hallmarking?
Yes. We provide 100% BIS HUID hallmarking on our items. If your showroom prefers to handle its own localized hallmarking, we can dispatch unhallmarked stock upon request.
5. How do you calculate weight for stones (Stone Less)?
In wholesale manufacturing, the labor cost to set micro-stones and the cost of the stones themselves are absorbed into the gross weight of the gold. Therefore, stones under 3mm are weighed with the gross gold (no deduction). For larger focal stones (above 3mm), the stone weight is properly deducted from the gross gold weight.

Ordering & Pricing

6. What is your Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?
For ready-stock items, our MOQ is 120 Grams.
7. How and when is the final gold rate fixed?
The final gold price is only fixed when the buyer agrees to the rate, the order is officially finalized, and the advance payment is successfully credited to our current account.
8. Does the quoted price include GST?
No. All quotes, estimates, and wastage calculations provided are exclusive of taxes. A standard 3% GST is strictly applicable on the final B2B invoice value as per government regulations.
9. How do you handle weight differences in custom handmade orders?
Because handcrafted jewelry cannot be controlled to the exact milligram, a standard variance of +/- 300 milligrams per item is expected. If the final weight variance is significantly higher or lower after karigar processing, we will inform you for approval before dispatch. If absolute precision is required, the item can be remanufactured.
10. What is the standard delivery time (Lead Time)?
For ready stock, dispatch occurs within 24-48 hours of payment clearance. For custom handcrafted orders, standard manufacturing time is 10 to 15 working days, depending on karigar availability and design complexity.

Payments & Advances

11. What are your standard payment terms?
We require a standard 60% advance payment via RTGS/NEFT to initiate custom manufacturing or to block ready stock.
12. Why is a 60% advance required?
In B2B wholesale, custom items are manufactured specifically for your showroom's requirements. The advance ensures genuine trade intent, secures the raw materials in a fluctuating market, blocks our karigars' production time, and prevents cancellations once production has begun.
13. Do you accept fine metal (pure gold) as an advance?
Yes. Alongside RTGS/NEFT transfers, we accept fine metal (pure gold) as a valid advance for manufacturing orders. The pure gold must be verified through our testing center before the order is initiated.

Shipping, Liabilities & Returns

14. How do you handle shipping and logistics?
Jagrut Gold securely dispatches parcels via trusted, industry-standard logistics partners (such as BVC/Sequel) or established Angadia services. If you have a preferred logistics partner in your region, we can accommodate your request.
15. Who is responsible for the parcel during transit?
All parcels dispatched through our approved logistics partners are fully insured up to the destination. However, if a buyer insists on using their own unverified logistics partner or local Angadia, Jagrut Gold's liability ends the moment the parcel is handed over to the buyer's requested agent.
16. What is your return policy?
Because all items are rigorously verified before dispatch, our products are strictly non-refundable. We do not accept returns on any items that have been altered, acid-tested, or melted by the buyer.
17. What if there is transit damage or a purity claim?
We mandate that all buyers record a continuous, uncut video while opening the sealed parcel. If there is transit damage or a verified melting (purity) defect, this uncut video will serve as proof. Upon receiving the video, the item can be returned to us for internal testing, after which a refund or remanufacturing will be initiated.
